After all these years

This weekend has been a sad and strange one for me. My Grandmother has now had her home broken into, valuables stolen, personals tossed throughout the house and all topped off with her refrigerator ravaged like an animal leaving behind 6 cases of Coca Cola and stealing her great-grandsons juice boxes. 

I look at the statistics of people without jobs, on food stamps with 6 kids they can't afford all with different fathers paying child support and there is my Granny who raised 2 children of her own plus me all without financial support other then good ole fashion hard work and sacrifice. 

She worked 2 jobs for MANY years and is 70 years old often times working 6-7 days a week (salary) now because the job just has to get done. This woman is FORCED due to her age to draw Social Security yet still works, you know what that means? She has to PAY on her income taxes! First she is robbed by the government now a stranger in her home?!

It happens all the time, but you see what this man did not realize is exactly who he has messed with now. We are talking about a woman who has gone through menopause and does NOT take hormones, you never know who your gonna get when she answers the phone. She can go from the picture perfect image of Southern gentility to making Chuck Norris look like a girl scout. And now Granny's got a shotgun! 

Mistake #2 is you, Mr. Needs to get a job and morals, have taken her sense of security which sends me to a dimension of livid I have never been. I don't let things go very easy and I will hold onto this, and I will look for you until the day I die. Every night when you lay your head down you would be wise to ask yourself "Has she found me yet?" I will, I promise. You will make a mistake, you'll tell the wrong person. You might even attempt to pawn the TV's of which the serial numbers have been turned in or the jewelry that's engraved. 

A CASH reward is up for grabs for information leading to the arrest of this man. The reward will be doubled if the man is brought to my back yard so I can water board him first. I want him brought to justice, not only for my Grandmother but for all the other people who are violated in such a way. These people cannot continue to get away with this. CASH MONEY in your hand if you put him behind bars!

I'm so sorry that the huge score you thought you made with the TV's, jewelry, and juice boxes, Sir just turned into the biggest mistake you will have ever made.

Remember, hunting season for garbage runs all year long,

I totally forgot to show off my super cute mini session with Beau for Christmas! He was NOT in a good mood but we managed ;) He went into surgery not long after this so I totally forgot about the pictures!!! He's healing and rocking away now Thank God!

Since it IS my Birthday and I've had an AWESOME morning Im bending the rules a bit (since they are mine anyway)Keirstonn Varnado and Kaitlin Howard both were in a race for first place. Keirstonn obviously had the most "Likes" on her picture but most of which didn't "Like" the page and Kaitlin was blowing my page up with "Likes" I'm crowning BOTH of you Beauties a winner! YAY!!! I thought this was a really interesting contest from www.rocktheshotforum.com this Month.

The task is to reveal how you see yourself basically.

That really sums it up for me. I am a stay at home Mom during the day to a 2 year old, we bake, paint, watch Sesame Street but I can also hang with the best of them at a Rock show. I love my 2 sides and I think everyone has them just not everyone is willing to admit it.

I’m so excited to be doing a CONTEST to kick off the year! Here we go…

To enter the Contest submit a photo of yourself to me at brandyholcomb@gmail.com. Any photo will do, a professional shot or one snapped with your handy dandy fancy phone just keep them clean of course. Any photo submitted that is deemed inappropriate will not be entered.

I will begin accepting photos today January 3rd, and will cut off entry at midnight Friday January 6th, 2012. Once all entries have been received an album will be put up on Facebook at my photography page HERE the album will be posted January 9th 2012

Your job is to have your friends, family or strangers on the street “Like” the page and then begin voting on your picture by leaving COMMENTS on your picture, the person with the most COMMENTS on their picture will win. Voting will end January 15th 2012 at midnight. The winner will be announced January 17th 2012 (My Birthday ;)
The winner will receive:

1 outdoor portrait session (approximately 1 Hr.)*
And
1 8X10 Photo**


A $150.00 value

*Outdoor session will be in the Prattville or surrounding area only. You can choose a location or if you would like I can, however only 1 location will be used. The session will include a maximum of 4 people.

**8X10 printed photo will be of the photographer’s choice. A disk with some of the images from the shoot will be available for purchase.

The winner will be required to sign a model release allowing Brandy Holcomb Photography to use any of the images from the shoot for promotional purposes
